DRIVING TO CLEANER TRANSPORTATION
ATALS DISPOSAL INDUSTRIES

A natural gas fueling station both
dispensing and operating on renewable fuels.

Atlas Disposal Industries is awarded Energy Commission funds to establish a natural gas fueling station to support private, public, and school fleet operations. The station includes a fast-fill fueling system and five slow-fill fueling systems capable of refueling 10 fleet vehicles overnight. The station is be fully powered using a portion of the green electricity produced at the Sacramento Area Transfer Station and Sacramento BioRefinery #1, a large commercial-scale, high-solids anaerobic digestion system currently under construction in California. The station addresses the critical lack of infrastructure to support fleets that operate on compressed natural gas and successfully demonstrates an integrated commercial-scale waste to energy facility that can produce renewable natural gas.

The station addresses the critical lack of infrastructure to support fleets that operate on compressed natural gas. The station includes one fast-fill fueling system and five slow-fill fueling systems. The first compressed natural gas/renewable natural gas fueling station in California to both dispense renewable fuels and rely entirely upon renewable fuels for its own operation.
